Our chapter of the
Issele-Uku Association of North America, IAONA was well represented in
the just concluded 2009 National Convention that took place in Austin,
Texas. The events that kicked off on Saturday, July 31 and wrapped on
Sunday, August 2 is the latest version of the convention that members in
and around North America have now seen as a great home-coming
opportunity. Beyond the regular socializing and other businesses, two
major challenging papers were delivered at the event. While the National
President, Pres. Ifeanyi Iyegbu delivered the Welcome Address:
PRESIDENT'S WELCOME ADDRESS TO THE 2009 CONVENTION,
Rev. Dr. Ben Nwaochei spoke on:
Yes, Together We Can Make A Difference.
These are still as thought provoking speeches as they were at the
convention.
The opportunity abounds for all members and prospective members as
well to take a stand on the issues raised at the convention as x-rayed
by the President and Dr. Nwaochei.
