Association Constitution

PREAMBLE

We, the Member Chapters and Members of Issele-Uku Association of North America, Inc desiring to promote the cultural interests of our members, desiring to foster fellowship with one another, guided by a sense of justice and honesty, individually committed to excellence and the promotion of unity, progress and strength of our members;

Do hereby make, enact and confer upon ourselves the following constitution:

ARTICLE 1: NAME

Section 1.1      
The Association shall be known and addressed as “Issele-Uku Association of North America Inc.

Section 1.2      
The Greeting and Response at all Chapter and Convention meeting shall be “ODINMA ISSELE-UKU* YA KA ANYI CHO.”

Section 1.3      
National Secretariat will be located where ever the President resides.

Section 1.4      
All Member Chapters shall answer “Issele-Uku Association” but will be distinguished and identified by the geographic area in which they function.

ARTICLE 2: PURPOSE

The Association shall exist to:

2.1        2.1  Actively participate in the development of Issele-Uku geographic area.

2.2        2.2  Promote our cultural heritage.

2.3       2.3  Provide financial, moral and networking support to members as specified by the privileges

2.4 Promote good community relations;
